Hampton Court Flower Show Prize Winner

As the prestigious RHS Hampton Court Flower Show draws to a close, with this weekend being the last few days for a chance to view the wonderful gardens on show, Eden Landscapes are proud to announce that our garden was awarded with a silver medal in its category.

As we covered in our last blog post, Eden Landscapes were asked to construct a fantastic conceptual garden for the RHS Hampton Court Flower show, which has been recognised this week with the illustrious prize from the show’s judges.

The garden, titled ‘I Disappear’, was the vision of Polish designer Arkadiusz Luc who approached us last December for help constructing his design. This conceptual work was a social commentary on the threat that reckless over-development and construction presents to gardens, green areas and allotments all over the country.

Whatever the use of this land may be, whether it’s allotments, communal green land, or gardens, these areas bring people joy and have so much potential within them. For these areas to be destroyed and recklessly built on is a massive shame, and that’s something that this garden we’ve built aimed to pinpoint.

Regardless of size, all green areas of land have the potential to be useful, relaxing or enjoyable – in our many years landscaping we’ve designed and constructed gardens in a variety of locations, and there’s rarely an area that’s unsuitable for a stunning garden.

Fantastic Recognition At Prestigious Show

Bringing our expertise to the project we were able to bring Mr Luc’s design to life and we built, co-sponsored and managed the entire project from start to finish – and we are thrilled to have our work recognised with a silver medal at this most prestigious British flower show.

The BBC have been broadcasting their coverage of the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show all this week on BBC2, with the final part of their programming being broadcast tonight (Friday 12th July). The ‘I Disappear’ entry by Eden Landscapes and Arkadiusz Luc will be featured on the show, presented by Monty Don and designer Andy Sturgeon. Be sure to watch this evening; BBC2 at 7pm. Or, if you miss tonight’s broadcast, you can view our winning entry over the next week online through BBC iPlayer.
